JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Inspector. To be successful, the applicant should have excellent communication skills and must also possess strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You should be experienced in using measurement and test equipment (M&TE) and analyzing the results. The Quality Inspector will report to the Quality Control Manager and will work closely with inspectors, machinists, engineers, and management.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma
  • Preferred 2 years of applicable experience in a quality control role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience with open setup inspection using calipers, micrometers, height gages and optical comparators
  • Ability to read/interpret drawing specifications including geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
  • Keen observational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and desire to keep work areas tidy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software is a plus
  • Experience with the following items is desired, but not required: operation of Zeiss CMM with Calypso software, operation of Keyence vision systems, Zoller presetter

CORE DUTIES

  • Incoming inspection of product received from outside vendors
  • Perform 1st article inspection to authorize machinists to start production
  • Dimensional inspection of CNC machined products
  • Assist in the implementation of Quality procedures
