project installation at the end user facilities.
The responsibilities of the Engineer will be to: Assess customer needs and provide feedback to management in order to determine the capability of the company to provide effective products, equipment, services, training and aftercare to the customer. Support customer needs and calculate costs to provide project development through cost, time and manpower needs Assist with manufacturers'' training for customer on technical data and operating procedures Follow-up with customers to assure equipment, products, and/or services are effectively meeting the customers needsInstall end products for the customer, supervise contractors or contract laborers as required to create an operating system. Be able to read layout and equipment drawingsAssist the Sr. Engineer/Project Manager to collect project and technical information to make bid package Record, analyze, and summarize project costs under the project manager's supervisionOn-site management of project under the project manager's supervision Check and confirm all floor layouts match prints/drawingsConfirm installation specifications are according to bid documents Coordinate all technical issues between contractors, the company and customerCoordinate customer-required and contractor meetings to assure continuity of efforts and communicate status and concernsMaintain continuing contact with Japanese parent companies and multinational suppliers to assure all incoming products or equipment are on schedule. Guide and oversee continuity of the transfer of goods for the customerRequirements: College degree of equivalent work experience Knowledgeable in all aspects of the equipment, installation, use, service and training required to provide customer with quality end product Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects/operations Knowledge in the production and installation of robotic, conveyance and manual welding equipment, machining and assembly equipment, press and test bench products. Japanese language ability.
