Are you a dedicated and passionate School Psychologist seeking an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students in Antioch, CA? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified Contracted School Psychologist to join our team and support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students in our school district.

Responsibilities:

As a Contracted School Psychologist, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive psychological services to students, educators, and families. Your duties will include:

  1. Conducting psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and academic strengths and challenges.
  2. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans for students with special needs.
  3. Providing counseling and intervention services to support students' social and emotional development.
  4. Participating in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans.
  5. Conducting crisis interventions and providing support during difficult situations.
  6. Consulting with teachers to address classroom management and behavioral concerns.
  7. Assisting in the development and implementation of school-wide programs to promote mental health and well-being.
  8. Collaborating with community resources and outside agencies to support students' needs.

Requirements:

  1. Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  2. State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Illinois.
  3. Proven experience in conducting psychoeducational assessments and providing counseling services.
  4. Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  7. High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Contract Details:

This is a contracted position for the academic year 23/24, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and school district needs. The contract will be for 5 days per week, with a total of 37.5 hours per week.
