NATURE OF WORK & RESPONSIBILITIES:


· Manages all assigned work using ticketing system. Logs all activities and case updates in a timely and detailed manner.

  • Load specified software packages such as operating systems and productivity software. Verifies correct system operations.
  • Answer incoming calls. Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems, makes adjustments, repairs and/or provides assistance to users.
  • Ensures repair and preventative maintenance procedures are followed for the hospital’s desktops, faxes, and printers.
  • And all other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:


  • Three years of experience in desktop support in a networked environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of network architecture and terminology.
  • Experience in installing, using, maintaining and providing customer support using workstation tools, including office automation tools, email, and remote control software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communications.
  • Must be able to work with both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Experience in virtual hypervisors such as VMware ESX, Nutanix and Hyper-V
  • Experience in Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, File and Print roles
  • Experience in Network including switch and router configuration.
  • Experience in PBX VOIP phone system.


Requirements

A bachelor's or higher-level degree including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science; OR a bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field and one year of experience in information technology; OR 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science and one year of professional experience in information technology; OR two years of professional experience in information technology.
