The position Installs and maintains Fiber and RF networks located at customer buildings, tower sites, well sites, and facilities.
Responsibilities Include
Support of Field OT Communications Infrastructure
- Knowledge of basic Oil & Gas operations
- Able to maintain and build on relationships with people
- Install, support, maintain and troubleshoot issues with customer RF networks including Licensed, Broadband, narrowband and 900 ISM band for Point to Point, Point to Multipoint, Microwave and 802.11xx systems
- Familiar with cable and RF test equipment such spectrum analyzers
- Maintain documentation of current network infrastructure, IP addressing, network devices and all connected end devices through pictures and spread sheets
- Coordinate, manage and supervise on projects
- Support, maintain and troubleshoot fiber optic Process Control Networks (PCN) that communicate via IT infrastructure that will stop Oil & Gas production if connections are lost.
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot electronic equipment up to 240 volts
- SCADA RTUs and PLCs
- SCADA Data Collectors
Basic/Required:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 5+ years’ experience supporting various wireless technologies including point to multi point, point to point, mesh, and 802.11 wi-fi, and LTE
- Experience with IP address/Subnetting
- Experience with serial communications including RS232 and RS485
- Willingness to work outdoors at radio towers and Oil & Gas production locations
Preferred
- Experience with Aviat, Cambium, ABB Tropos, GEMDS, FreeWave and XetaWave
- Link-profiling and RF propagation software experience
- Experience in microwave (licensed and un-licensed), MAS-SCADA, Private LTE
- Familiarity with existing and emerging cellular technologies
- Experience with microwave link design, planning, and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of parts 90 and 101 of CFR47 (FCC regulations)
- Batchelor’s Degree in Business Admin/Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, other related technical field
- Team player able to work collaboratively in an environment of mixed disciplines
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Strive to be self-sufficient and continue to learn
- Passion for learning and excelling in next generation technologies

Salary: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
