Summary

Tired of trying to fit Montessori in a square hole? We are an authentic Montessori school pursuing our AMS accreditation. Authentic Montessori is of utmost importance to us AND we are looking to hire as we work on expanding our Elementary Program.

Bella Montessori is seeking a Lower Elementary Montessori Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Our classroom will be in its 4th year of operation and anticipating an enrollment of 8-12 children in 1st-3rd grade. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about Cultural Studies while also having a solid understanding of Math and Language progression in Montessori. Knowledge of Conscious Discipline is a plus, however; training is available upon hire

Duties

  • Observe and evaluate students' academic performance, behavior, and social/emotional development.
  • An ability to teach groups of children of varying ages, needs, and abilities.
  • Patience and excellent observational, communication, and diagnostic skills.
  • The ability to multitask, keep calm under pressure, and treat everyone with love and respect.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • A lifelong learner who can be a good role model for children.
  • Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Montessori 6-9 or 6-12 Credential from a MACTE accredited institution preferred.
  • IVP Level 1 fingerprint clearance card required.
  • CPR/First Aid required
