Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Description: The Waterproofer will be responsible for performing various commercial waterproofing, caulking, and masonry repair work on commercial buildings.
This work will consist of various types of services regarding exterior commercial building maintenance and will require an individual who is able and willing to repair and waterproof buildings using lifts, swing stage platforms, and scaffolds to access work areas, load and unload heavy materials frequently, clean the job site, and follow directions from the Superintendent.
This position requires climbing up and down ladders, navigating difficult terrain while at high elevation, and working in all weather conditions to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Removal and replacement of old caulking materials.
Brick masonry rehab and tuck-pointing.
Coating using rollers and airless spray equipment.
Ensuring clean and proper application of caulking and other compounds.
Operating power washers and other power tools.
Ensuring the safe operation of swing stages, Boom lifts, and other suspended work platforms.
Frequently lifting, carrying, and holding tools and supplies.
Cleaning tools, equipment, materials, and the construction work area.
Mixing material when required, according to manufacturers instructions.
Working efficiently and accurately.
Adhering to all safety standards and requirements.Performing all other duties as assigned. These duties may change often as the work conditions require.Experience in some or all the responsibilities listed above is preferred.
Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation and must be willing to travel to job sites daily.
Experience using power tools.
Must own a cell phone.
May be required to travel out of town as needed.
Must be able to work well with a team as well as independently.
Must be willing to work at heights above multiple stories.Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform job functions while wearing a respirator and other PPE as needed or required.
Ability to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
See and hear well (naturally or with correction.The company will provide lodging for project assignments that require out-of-town travel and mileage reimbursement. All tools, supplies, PPE, and equipment required to perform the job will be provided.
