Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Cytotechnologists to support the VA Long Beach Healthcare System located at 5901 E 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90822. Services will be delivered to all requesting departments throughout the facility on a range of schedules. Responsibilities
- Process cytology specimens
- Prepare and stain cytology slides for GYN and non-GYN specimens
- Make preliminary diagnoses independently of the physician cytologist
- Assist with fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy procedures
- Prepare and stains FNA smears
Qualifications
- An Bachelor-level degree from an accredited educational institution
- ASCP professional certification or equivalent Nationally-recognized Cytopathology certification or categorical certification in cytopathology
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years - PREFERRED
- Experience in U.S. Government facilities - PREFERRED
- No sponsorship available
Pay Range: $28.97 - $53.30 hourly
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
