Job Title: School Occupational Therapist
Location: Near Monroe, GA
Are you a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students? Clarifi Staffing is seeking a qualified School Occupational Therapist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of students ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade in the Monroe, GA area. Some travel between job sites may be required, but compensation will be provided.
As a School Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs in a school-based setting. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other members of the school team to support student success and promote independence in the educational environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities to determine eligibility for occupational therapy services.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings, IEP objectives, and student needs.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, including therapeutic activities, exercises, and interventions to improve fine motor skills, visual-motor coordination, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and functional independence.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapy goals and strategies into the classroom environment and daily routines.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, documenting student outcomes and progress towards goals.
- Provide support and education to parents and caregivers on strategies for promoting skill development and independence at home.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and other collaborative activities to support the multidisciplinary team approach to student services.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other required paperwork in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
• Master’s in Occupational Therapy.
• GA Occupational Therapy license required.
• Prior occupational therapy experience working with children with disabilities.
• Onsite services required.
