Experienced Medical Assistant

Well established Allergy office with a diverse and unique patient base seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team In addition to medical assistant experience we have found many well suited temporary candidates in students looking for additional medical and research experience before placing in medical school.

Responsibilities:

Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner

Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff

Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures

Escort patients to exam rooms

Vitals

Skin Testing

Actively participate in food allergy treatment protocols

Monitor patients and provide feedback to medical staff

Cross train with other departments to support patient engagement and our injection clinic

Qualifications:

Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields

Familiarity with EMRs eClinicalWorks is a plus

Strong organizational skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Excellent grasp of math and units of measure

Allergy experience a plus

Strong organizational skills

Ability to function professionally and effectively in high stress situations

Ability to obtain information via phone clearly and in a timely manner

Strong attention to detail is a must

Punctuality and excellent attendance are expected

We are hiring for a full-time position. The office operates Monday through Thursday at present. We will resume Monday through Friday and with additional growth as a new provider just joined our practice.
