Designer/Drafter

We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled individual to join our Design Team at our facility in Tualatin, Oregon. Position Summary:

A skilled & experienced Drafter/Designer to perform all aspects of design associated with our products.

JOB DUTIES:

• Develop concepts and produce complex Inventor 3D design models/assemblies and drawings for new product designs.
• Develop fabrication fixtures and tooling as required for new and existing product designs.
• Convert previous AutoCAD 2D designs, parts, and assemblies to Inventor 3D models/assemblies.
• Work with shop personnel to research and resolve production issues as required
• Modify existing AutoCAD 2D designs and Inventor 3D design models/assemblies as required following company revision and design change notice (DCN) procedures
• Work closely with shop personnel during first time builds of new product designs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience of mechanical design using AutoDesk Inventor 2012 or newer
• Minimum 2 year of experience of 2D drafting with AutoCAD
• Must be able to produce full engineering documentation including detailed fabrication drawings and bill of materials
• Must be able to take accurate measurements in metric and imperial units
• Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have experience working in fast-paced metal fabrication shop with knowledge of welding processes and symbology
• Basic metal machining practices and surface finishing knowledge a plus
• Geometric Dimensions and Tolerance knowledge a plus
