Secure Source is currently looking to hire a full time Field Technician to install/maintain our remote security units in the Layton, UT area.


Company vehicle will be provided. Full-Time employees are eligible for PTO, paid holidays and are able to participate in the company's health insurance plans after 90 days of employment. Secure Source covers 75% of the monthly health insurance premium for all FT employees


Job Description Summary: The purpose of this position is to maintain assigned area needs; which would include new site installations/and or relocation's, tending to any issues that may arise with sites due to equipment issues or any unusual activity i.e. theft, burglary and or trespassing.


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Review reports and utilize good time management to prioritize your work days.
  • Conduct repairs in a timely manner in order to keep equipment operational.
  • Responsibility for maintaining appropriate component and accessory inventory levels in order to remain operational.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of all equipment and be able to properly create and execute a site plan.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Create rapports with clients, foster client relationships, and communicate with clients on a regular basis.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of your sites and site contacts.
  • Abide by all safety requirements and common operational protocol from site to site.
  • Demonstrate successful sales techniques and utilize proper follow up timelines with potential clients when necessary.
  • Attend weekly meetings and be integral in the growth and development of Secure Source.
  • Meet with authorities during incident responses and follow protocol to communicate back to our clients.

This job has some aspects that may require you to step outside of your normal job duties. While this is not constant, it does remain an aspect of the position. This job requires a person who is mechanically inclined and able to learn to fix and solve problems.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:(Recommended but not necessary)

  • High School Diploma combined with technical skills training in the electrical (AC/DC) field is a plus
  • Experience in the construction industry and/or outside sales is a plus.
  • Candidate must be able to employ a working knowledge of electrical systems and demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • This position tends to be “on-call” and requires technicians to be available at all times.
  • Must reside in the greater Phoenix area.
  • Ability to work well with diverse customers.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills - dealing with customer complaints in a timely manner to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format.
  • Working knowledge of Internet applications CCTV skills, A/V skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 100 lbs. or more on rare occasions.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. (ie. heat, cold, rain or shine)
  • Required to sit, stand, drive, walk, squat or kneel for long periods of time.

Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable as a condition of employment for this position.
