Business Analyst: Office of Appellate Support (OAS) Technical Infrastructure Branch (TIB)

Sprezzatura Management Consulting is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support the Board’s Office of Appellate Support (OAS) Technical Infrastructure Barnch (TIB). The successful candidate will play a critical role in improving our business processes and operations. This role involves creating detailed business analyses, identifying problems, opportunities, and solutions, and providing comprehensive support in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. The Business Analyst will be responsible for planning, monitoring, reporting, and conducting variance and market analyses. A strong ability to define business requirements and deliver data-driven insights is essential.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Business Analysis:
    • Develop detailed business analyses outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions.
    • Identify business trends, issues, and opportunities through in-depth research and analysis.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance business performance.
  2. Financial Modeling and Forecasting:
    • Create and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes.
    • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
    • Conduct variance analysis to identify deviations from budgets and forecasts.
  3. Planning and Monitoring:
    • Plan and monitor ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on business outcomes.
    • Support the development of strategic plans and objectives.
  4. Market Analysis:
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategies.
    • Analyze pricing models and market trends to support pricing decisions.
    • Provide insights into market dynamics, customer behavior, and industry developments.
  5. Business Requirements Definition:
    • Work closely with stakeholders to define and document business requirements.
    • Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.
    • Ensure that solutions align with business goals and deliver value.
  6. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on financial performance, market conditions, and project progress.
    • Create presentations and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business analysis, financial modeling, and market analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, variance analysis, and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and business intelligence software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • BVA or VBMS Experience 
  • VACOLS application, Disability Appeals Claim or Court Management System
  • BPMN and JIRA/Agile


Work Location: Hybrid role between remote work and occasional meetings with the client at 810 Vermont Avenue, NW, Washington, DC.
