What You'll Do

This position is a full-time permanent position in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper.

This position reports to the President of American Games and International Gamco and will be responsible for all finance, accounting and reporting functions for our expanding charitable gaming businesses, including providing key business support for the management team, assisting in guiding the integration of recent acquisitions and liaising with our corporate head office. Leading a small and dedicated finance team, the successful candidate will become a key resource in the executive management team, supporting operational growth while at the same time ensuring financial and accounting support throughout the organization. The successful candidate will be an energetic leader capable of providing insightful business advice while working with two recently merged companies and developing new sophisticated systems and financial platforms to support our expected ongoing growth.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Report to the President on all financial, budgeting, and information analysis.
  • Help implement a new ERP system to meet various stakeholders' needs.
  • Liaise with Corporate Head Office on all financial issues, including financial reporting.
  • Supervising the accounting, reporting, and analysis of our charitable gaming businesses, including maintaining effective control systems.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely financial statements on a monthly basis.
  • Support Head Office in various treasury functions, including cash flow monitoring and risk management, including foreign exchange and insurance.
  • Lead the integration of multiple finance resources from recent and future acquisitions, ensuring maximum effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
  • Provide key contributions on planning and policymaking.
  • Use appropriate KPIs to identify trends and help drive improvement.
  • Work with manufacturing to develop costing models to help identify efficiencies in manufacturing.
  • Work with manufacturing to develop product cost standards to ensure proper inventory valuations.
  • Coordinate with the management of the IT department to ensure company objectives are met.
  • Identify and source future resource requirements for the finance group.
  • Identify, conduct and execute special projects in a variety of different functions relating to the overall business.
  • Facilitate the preparation of the annual consolidated budget.
  • Support the Human Resources department, including assistance in the annual review of employee benefits.
  • Present regular financial updates to the executive group.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA or equivalent.
  • Significant and diverse leadership experience (10+ years of finance experience, preferably in the areas of production management, operations, procurement, and supply chain management, with 5-10 years reporting to senior-level management).
  • Successful experience with complex ERP system selection and implementation.
  • Experienced leader capable of developing and guiding strategy, delivering results and building future leaders.
  • Experience with all sides of accounting operations including payables, receivables, payroll and tax preparation.
  • Prior manufacturing experience would be an asset.
  • Highly developed skills in structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Demonstrate and insist on value-centered leadership.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Strong analytic skills.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
  • External candidates must be a US Citizen/Permanent Resident.

  • Must possess superior computer skills (ERP and standard software packages including Excel and Word).
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems and leading new system conversions.
