About the Role

Director of Community Housing Programs is responsible for leading the coordination, planning, implementation, and evaluation of services for Homeless Prevention, Rapid-Rehousing, and Community Case Management programs. This position will also research, develop and implement program curriculum. The Director of Community Housing Programs will supervise and direct assigned case management staff to ensure all program objectives are met.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision and management of the Homeless Prevention, Rapid-Rehousing, and Community Case Management programs.
  • Oversee the effective implementation of program activities to ensure all objectives are met
  • Works in collaboration with the Guest House Landlord and Leasing Department to maintain all landlord/tenants paperwork, Renewal Dates, Leases, Rent Checks, Leases and Rents.
  • Fiscal monitoring and oversight of program operational budget.
  • Ensure a safe, supportive atmosphere with access to high quality services for residents
  • Work collaboratively with case management staff to evaluate, research, develop, and implement curriculum
  • Manage overall programmatic budgets, and design and implement/coordinate staff’s training need.
  • Design and implement policies and procedures for assigned programs
  • Develop strategies to improve the overall processes and outcomes for assigned programs
  • Conduct staff observations and assess areas needed for improvement, on a regular basis
  • Review case files and reports to ensure compliance with policies and procedures of the grant
  • Conduct weekly staffing meetings and other programmatic meetings as needed.
  • Creating and maintaining current resource lists/information.
  • Attend Guest House fundraisers and recognition events as scheduled.
  • Creating and distributing program evaluations to the clients and then reviewing with Homelinc staff and VP of Community Housing Programs
  • Performing annual chart audits.
  • Participating in Annual Evaluation with VP of Community Housing Programs and performing annual and as needed performance evaluations on Homelinc Case Management Team
  • Other duties as assigned by VP of Community Housing Programs

Qualification:

  • Knowledge of program management and development
  • Excellent leadership and people skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal and written
  • Ability to write professional and technical documents
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Ability to plan, implement and follow through on projects relating to the position
  • Maintain a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation in compliance with agency requirements
  • Understanding of low barriers housing model and issues related to homelessness and mental health

 

 

Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years working with individuals who have mental illness and history including 2 or more years of supervisory experience
  • Experience developing, implementing and facilitating wellness groups that are rehabilitative in nature
  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention training
  • Computer proficient-working knowledge of Microsoft programs
