The Service Advisor is responsible for creating, maintaining, and building long-term relationships with current and potential STS Truck Services clients by serving as the primary point of contact.
Essential Job Functions:
· Responsible for receipt and workflow of all incoming work from start to finish. This includes all communication with clients as well as other internal departments.
· Greet clients in a timely and friendly manner, obtain all specific vehicle information including accurate odometer reading and noticeable damage to the vehicle, and verify all client information for communication and invoicing purposes.
· Document clients’ vehicle issues and concerns or maintenance requirements accurately and clearly.
· Inspect reported client issues then create repair orders and provide estimates.
· Maintain all RO processes. Review and close company and client invoices.
· Operate TMT/AMS Vehicle Maintenance Software Program
· Supervise technicians performing truck, trailer, equipment maintenance, and repair with a focus to ensure that clients’ vehicles are safe, reliable, and efficient when leaving our facility.
· Coordinate and schedule work performed for the shop during the shift with clients. Excellent professionalism and accurate communication are required.
· Set appointments & investigate the progress of vehicle repairs and contact the client with status changes.
· Provide work direction, coordination, and specialized guidance to mechanics regarding the repair and maintenance of vehicles. Ensure work quality, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.
· Ensure that preventative maintenance and campaigns are completed on schedule.
· Through teamwork, leadership, and management provide a safe work environment by ensuring training is complete and in compliance with all company policies and government regulations.
· Ensure technician job training is completed on schedule with the employee’s training plan.
· Prospecting to grow the business, calling past customers, and educating potential clients about the services we provide.
· Backup to the Service Manager and Parts & Inventory Technician.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High School Diploma or High School Equivalence Certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years related industry work experience.
- Minimum one-year supervisory experience
- Ability to prioritize work
- Computer skills
- Excellent history of attendance and punctuality
- CDL Preferred
Working Conditions:
Service Advisors will be exposed to noise levels in the work environment that are quiet while in the office, or moderately loud when in the field.
