FLSA Status: Exempt— Sales
Reports To: Sales Director
Responsibilities:
- Mine information to help sales staff be successful
- Create estimates and quote letters to support client needs
- Drive new sales for the company in a professional manner consistent with the company’s integrity and customer-care standards
- Determine needs and provide solutions that solve the customer’s issues and generate a high rate of referral-based sales
- Perform sales presentations, as outlined in company selling process, using approved company presentation materials and methods
- Educate potential customers on value
- Refine communication skills and improve customer satisfaction processes.
- Keep appointments with customers as scheduled
- Participate in training as requested
- Demonstrate learning-retention and field-level application of knowledge and skills attained from all trainings provided
- Stay in contact with the office while in the field and work from the office when not in the field
- Follow company procedures for generating referrals
- Participate in bi-weekly sales meetings
- Work with direct reports to not just hit their goals and stretch goals but also educate direct reports along the way to understand the “why” and learn best practices.
- Meet regularly with direct reports in field to ensure they understand the process.
- Keep up with direct reports schedule (loosely) and know when they are out of office due to work or personal occasions.
- Keep Sales Director knowledgeable of what is going on in your territory. Concerning clients and employees.
- Meet regularly with Sales Director to go over goals and targets. Forecasting if targets are missed, met, or overachieved.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Goal oriented with a strong desire to succeed
- Experience with Marketing / Sales / Customer Service / managing expectations is desired.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal & communication skills
- Great listening skills and ability to carry on conversations
- Solid organizational and sales pipeline management skills
- Strong understanding of the psychology of sales
- Highly developed interpersonal and analytical skills
Physical Demands and Work Conditions:

Physical Demands:
- Normal office environment
- Able to visually inspect all areas of customer sites
- Use of step ladders
- Occasionally lifts to 30lbs.
- Proper PPE may be required in commercial environments (hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, safety vest, gloves and occasionally respirators) – provided by HMS.
Work Conditions:
- Normal office conditions
- Exposed to weather condition when in the field at times
- Exposure to dusty and confining areas of a commercial space for short periods of time
