Job DescriptionJob Description

Genie Healthcare, a reputable healthcare organization, is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Rochelle Park, NJ. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing respiratory care to patients with various respiratory conditions. Your expertise and compassion will contribute towards improving the overall respiratory health and quality of life for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory status and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Educate patients and their families on proper respiratory care techniques and disease management
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated and patient-centered care
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in respiratory therapy

Requirements

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of New Jersey
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, equipment, and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
