The technician is responsible for the adequate and safe machine operations of cutting and forming components used in daily production of drilling/piling equipment and accessories. This individual will be responsible for preventive maintenance to adequately keep machines running safely with high quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities will include training less experienced employees to support daily operations as well as being a backup for other areas such as paint or weld robot operator.
Work is completed under the direction and/or guidance of a shop supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Forming flights, in an expert manner, to meet design specifications.
- Plasma cut parts per download file or cut sheets.
- Ability to read blueprints and diagrams. As well as determining critical dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools.
- Produce parts safely while meeting quality specifications.
- Perform maintenance on plasma, flight press, and band saw.
- Saw cut parts per cut sheet and drawings.
- Will operate overhead crane
- Utilize hand tools to deburr parts. Meet daily time requirements while producing parts in a timely manner.
- Load and un-load materials utilizing cranes and/ or fork trucks as needed.
- Provie quality and timely workmanship and maintain daily time standards
- Train, guide, and educate other employees on Plasma, Flight Press, and Saw as needed.
- Work in a team environment and be flexible to move from job to job to support the schedule.
Additional Responsibilities When Not working on Production Parts:
- The following additional responsibilities may be assigned by the shop manager:
- Assist other shop personnel in their daily duties when directed.
- Housekeeping is an important responsibility. When not actively involved in production activities then housekeeping will need to be done.
Job Type: Full-time. Will have 60-day review to be hired into a full-time position.
Pay: The compensation for this role is $19.00 - $23.00 per hour (DOE).
Schedule: 8-hour shift: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Required Qualifications for Flight Press, Plasma, and Band Saw Technician: High School diploma or GED
- Applicants must submit to drug screening and background check.
- Experience on plasma, band saw, or band saw a plus.
- Able to be trained to operate plasma table, flight press and band saw equipment.
- Able to be trained to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Will have 60-day review to be hired into a full-time position.
- Knowledge of welding operations a plus.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending and squatting. Standing for long periods of time.
