The Black Hills Children's Museum, in partnership with the City of Box Elder, is on an exciting journey to create a world-class educational and cultural destination for children of all ages. We are seeking a dynamic Fundraising Coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life.
As the Black Hills Children's Museum Fundraising & Administrative Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies that support the museum's operations, programs, and future growth, as well as providing essential administrative support to the museum's board.
This unique part-time, non-benefited position offers a flexible hybrid work model. In This Exciting Role, You Will:
- Lead the Charge: Spearhead innovative fundraising initiatives, from captivating galas and auctions to targeted donor campaigns, that will fuel the museum's growth and impact.
- Forge Lasting Connections: Cultivate meaningful relationships with donors, community leaders, and partners, transforming them into passionate advocates for our mission.
- Become an Administrative Ace: Skillfully manages administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, coordinating with partners and donors, handling communications, preparing board materials, and maintaining meticulous records to support the museum's fundraising efforts.
- Write & Win: Craft compelling grant proposals and impactful communications that inspire generosity and secure essential funding for our programs.
- Analyze and Strategize: Translate fundraising data into actionable strategies to drive sustainable growth.
- Champion Operational Excellence: Streamline processes, maintain meticulous records, and ensure compliance with legal and financial regulations.
- Empower Our Board: Provide invaluable support to our board members, equipping them with the information and resources they need to make strategic decisions.
- Become an Ambassador for Joy: Promote the museum's mission with passion and enthusiasm, inspiring others to join our journey of creating a world of wonder and discovery for children of all ages.
What We Are Looking For:
- Fundraising Pioneer: 3+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, with expertise in diverse fundraising strategies and a passion for building lasting relationships with supporters.
- Data-Driven Strategist: Analytical thinker with a knack for interpreting fundraising data to inform decision-making and optimize strategies for maximum impact.
- Compelling Communicator & Storyteller: A gifted writer and charismatic presenter with a talent for crafting persuasive grant proposals, impactful presentations, and engaging donor communications that inspire action and support. You effortlessly build rapport and foster collaboration.
- Master Organizer: Highly organized individual with exceptional attention to detail, meticulous record-keeping practices, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Tech-Savvy Collaborator: Proficient in donor management and other administrative tools, leveraging technology to streamline workflows and foster collaboration.
- Passionate Advocate: A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, bringing a positive attitude and a passion for the museum's mission.
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
