Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAS Analytics Developer with specialized expertise in planning and demand forecasting. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing data, developing models, and providing insights to support our planning and forecasting initiatives. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional paid travel to our office in Quebec, Canada.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilize SAS programming language and tools to develop advanced analytical solutions for planning and demand forecasting.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable analytical solutions.
3. Design and implement statistical models, algorithms, and machine learning techniques to analyze historical data and predict future demand patterns.
4. Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and provide actionable insights to improve forecasting accuracy.
5. Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure the timely processing and availability of relevant data for analysis.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in planning and demand forecasting methodologies, tools, and techniques.
7. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports, presentations, and visualizations.
8. Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data infrastructure and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of analytical solutions.
9. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAS programming and analytics, with a focus on planning and demand forecasting.
3. Proficiency in statistical analysis, time series forecasting, and predictive modeling techniques.
4. Strong understanding of database concepts and experience working with large-scale datasets.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically and strategically.
6. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or SAS Visual Analytics is a plus.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
8. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Flexibility to occasionally travel to our office in Quebec, Canada, for onsite meetings and collaboration sessions
