Plant Manager opportunity in a production start up environment. Chance to put your stamp and vision on a new manufacturing facility. Facility just opened, has equipment in place, and started running – just needs a strong leader to drive operations forward to expanded production, shifts, and optimization.
This isn't a role for a Manager to sit in a tower and dictate process with via email, but instead a role for someone happy to get out on the floor with the team to set direction and solve problems. You'll have Senior Engineers, a Maintenance Manager, a Materials Supervisor, an onsite HR leader, and Production Management as direct reports. Chance to support those individuals with both real-time coaching, as well as long term career development.
Plastics manufacturing environment. While previous plastics experience is helpful, it's not required. Ability to support varied processes and learn new ones quickly will work. This facility has a lot of new modern equipment and technology. Engineering support is already in place at the facility, and there is engineering support from the broader organization, but the ideal candidate will have experience working closely with engineering to strategize on solving technical problems and with strategy for equipment and process improvements. Running first shift already, but will be adding second and third shifts soon. It's really just getting started up, and we need a leader to guide the facility through that growth.
Targeting a salary of $125-150K. Bonus opportunity, excellent 401(k), health insurance starting on Day 1 of employment, PTO, etc.
REQUIRED:
- 4+ years of management and leadership experience in manufacturing
- Bachelor's Degree – preferably in an engineering, technical, or operations related discipline
- Strong experience leading teams on the plant floor
- Strong experience with plant finances and operations budgets in manufacturing
- Fantastic communication skills
- Flexibility to support and lead a wide range of activities in manufacturing
DESIRED:
- Experience with plant start up or production launch activities
- Prior experience with plastic manufacturing
