Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a schedule to clean and maintain the main office building and the warehouse office areas this includes all
  • restrooms and the removal of all trash.
  • Respond to the needs of the buildings based on the weather number of visitors and any emergency needs that may arise.
  • Clean all kitchen areas and microwaves in both the office and the warehouse buildings.
  • Gather and empty trash with minimal disturbance to the other employees.
  • Supply all restrooms with needed soap and paper products.
  • Clean and polish all furniture and fixtures.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
  • Dust furniture, walls, ledges, machines and equipment.
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major/minor repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and stocking duties.

Qualification:

  • Requires past experience in basic janitorial duties and general maintenance systems, preferably in the distribution industry or related field.
  • Ability to read and write small letters and numbers: the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to concentrate and to communicate with management, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to adapt to varying environmental conditions (i.e. heat, humidity, dust, toxic and/or non-toxic chemicals.
  • This position requires the wearing of safety equipment as required by management.
  • This position requires the successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period.

Additional Information

Hours: Monday Thru Friday 8:30am - 5pm

Rate of Pay: $20 an hour
