Layout Associate

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Work effectively to insure jobs meet production schedule

· Complete layout stages of build as required not including the brake press or rolls

· Ensure quality documentation is being processed per company procedures

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment

· Work with other departments to ensure on time delivery and product quality

· Responsible for clocking in and out of appropriate work orders

· Ensure safe working environment and procedures are followed

· Work effectively with other departments to correct mistakes and minimize rework

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Maintain an organized and clean work area (daily)

· Other duties as assigned

EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

· Routinely use equipment associated with sheet metal fabrication including, but not limited to:

o Milling machines and lathes

o Air and/or electric grinders

o Dyna-files

o Horizontal and vertical saws

o Brake press

o Drill press

o Belt sander

o Air compressors

· Operation of forklifts and overhead cranes

· Use of barcode scanners to accurately track time spent on jobs

· Operation of company work trucks (infrequent)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

· Proficiency with basic math

· Effective written and verbal communication skills

· High attention to detail
