The Worship Leader will engage in two areas of ministry. This includes leading a worship team for services and events and contributing to a secondary ministry area as skills allow. This second area is open to a variety of skill sets including, but not limited to administration, video editing, graphic design, project management, etc.


Leadership & Oversight:

  • Lead and facilitate engaging worship experiences during church services and special events.
  • This role will be in the office for part of the week, attending service planning meetings, and coordinating worship for each service.
  • This leader will likely rotate between our three campuses every given weekend, and also participate at some level in our Wednesday night youth service, and Friday night young adult service.
  • Collaborate with the pastoral team to plan and coordinate the worship services.
  • Recruit, develop, and shepherd a team of volunteer worship band members and vocalists.
  • Provide direction and support to the worship team, including scheduling rehearsals and coordinating music selections.
  • Lead and oversee the technical aspects of worship, including sound, lighting, and multimedia.
  • Cultivate a culture of worship and spiritual growth within the worship team and congregation.
  • Continuously improve the quality and creativity of worship services, incorporating diverse musical styles and elements.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to integrate visual and multimedia elements into worship experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with copyright laws and licensing for music and media used in worship.
  • Maintain and organize the worship equipment, instruments, and resources.
  • Foster an atmosphere of unity, excellence, and authenticity in worship.


Direct Ministry Oversight:

  • Provide pastoral care and spiritual leadership to the worship team, supporting their personal, spiritual and musical growth.
  • Train and equip worship team members in musical skills, spiritual development, and stage presence.
  • Foster a sense of community and teamwork within the worship team, promoting unity and collaboration.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Mature and ongoing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a consistent prayer/devotional life.
  • Must be able to lead worship from piano or guitar.
  • Ability to lead congregational worship and engage participants in meaningful worship experiences.
  • Proficient in playing a musical instrument (e.g., guitar, piano, keyboard) and leading worship vocally.
  • Strong vocal abilities and an understanding of vocal dynamics.
  • Deep knowledge and appreciation of various worship music genres and styles.

  • Excellent musical skills, including the ability to read music and arrange songs.
  • Experience in leading and directing a worship band and vocalists.
  • Familiarity with technical aspects of worship, including sound systems, lighting, and multimedia.
  • Ability to provide guidance and instruction to team members for musical development and stage presence.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and connect with the congregation.
  • Demonstrate a humble and teachable spirit, receptive to feedback and growth.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Well-organized, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to fully embrace the vision, values, and statement of faith of Creative Church.
