Position Title: Warehouse/VHE Manager

Department: Logistics

Position Summary: The VHE Manager will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining all processes and procedures around Vendor Held Equipment (VHE). This position will be the main point of contact with all customers whose material is held by TCI in their role managing the construction activities for, or on behalf of our client. This position will assume the role of TCI North Warehouse Manager. This manger is expected to complete various management, organization and planning tasks to maintain high standards of safety and performance for the utilization of the warehouse's storage, shipping, and receiving. They will develop and foster a sense of responsibility, excellence, and exceptionalism for all Timberline personnel and clients who utilize or interact with the North Timberline Facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for tracking, inventory, distribution, return and, or disposal of all vendor held assets
  • Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the inventory.
  • Schedule all deliveries and pick-ups for TCI North required by the business.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all orders being shipped out of the North warehouse.
  • Manage the use of the North warehouse by all TCI field crew members, drivers, and associated personnel. While monitoring their work when they are at the North facility and ensuring the safe use of warehouse and fleet equipment.
  • Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve a safe, efficient, clean, neat, and well-organized warehouse.
  • Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with the FF&L manager.
  • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employee's performance, efficiency, and safety.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure that all tasks and deliverables are executed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise of all processes, software applications, shipping and receiving requirements of our customers.
  • Train all TCI field crew members, drivers, and associated personnel on all relevant processes and procedures around the use of the Timberline North Facility.
  • Fulfill the role of main point of contact for all facilities related matters for the Timberline North location
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the Timberline North facility
  • Will, with the oversite of the Logistics Manager, work to further develop a VHE program to be implemented across all current and future TCI warehouse and jobsite locations

Minimum/Preferred Requirements

Education:

  • High School or equivalent Experience: Warehousing

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Excellent leadership skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills
  • In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices as they relate to warehousing and logistics.
  • Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational computer applications

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:

  • Physical strength, stamina and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 70lbs
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and inclement weather.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
