Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking current PCCC students for the position of Orientation leaders who will help introduce new students to campus support services, facilities, activities, policies, procedures, and academic programs.

Examples of Duties:

  • Provide a welcoming environment for new PCCC students
  • Introduce new students to campus support services, facilities, activities, policies, procedures, and academic programs
  • Lead tours and facilitate groups for new students
  • Help new students adjust to the college environment and serve as a role model
  • Assist with planning and implementation of New Student Orientations
  • Assist with recruitment and training of New Student Orientation Volunteers
  • Assist with the day-to day operations of the department which includes answering phones, assisting with student issues, covering the front desk, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Be enrolled as a student at PCCC
  • The ability to work with a diverse student population
  • The availability to work 20 hours per week
  • Completed the PCCC College Success Course
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Leadership development potential
