In this role, you will:
- Assist with building-out, managing and growing our new R&D tax credit service offering
- Act as firm R&D tax credit subject matter expert internally within the firm and externally to clients
- Provide tax expertise, advise, and support helping clients identify, qualify for, document, maximize, and claim federal and state tax credits and incentives with an initial focus on R&D tax credits
- Research tax issues
- Spearhead and implement R&D tax incentive projects by orchestrating the work, and participating in the day-to-day project implementation to deliver on client’s tax projects
- Develop and sustain deep client relationships and help identify new business opportunities with current and prospective clients
The successful candidate should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Advanced degree and/or certification such as MST, LLM Tax, JD, or CPA; or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6 years experience in Accounting, Audit or Tax in public accounting or consulting
- (Preferred but not required) Experience with other credits and incentives such as IRC 179D, IRC 45L, Energy Incentives / Credits, Transfer Pricing, and/or Cost Segregation Studies
- Demonstrated proven record of success as a tax technical team manager delivering and project managing engagements
- Excellent negotiation, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel to client locations
