Fitness Coordinator

Part Time

Lake Prince Woods is looking for an energetic and motivated individual to join our Wellness Team

The Fitness Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Life Enrichment in implementing and instructing the wellness program for the community.Works with new Independent Living residents to assure their orientation and involvement in activities (i.e., obtain history, interests, hobbies, etc.).Develops and implements social programs which will provide communication among residents through group activities and recreation.Develops and implements programming activities which will provide entertainment, communication, exercise, relaxation, opportunity to express creative talent, and to fulfill basic psychological, physical, intellectual, social, environmental, and spiritual needs.Performs testing of pool and spa as required by state regulations.Develops relationships and maintains knowledge and understanding of national developments on wellness.Maintains driver’s license, auto liability insurance and safe driving record.
Minimal Education:High School diploma with additional course work in Health/Wellness, Gerontology (Social Gerontology, Biology of Aging), Management, Exercise Prescription, and Exercise Physiology. Personal training certification preferred.
Minimal Experience:Two years of experience working in fitness profession strongly preferred;
Other Qualifications:Certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid required.Certified Pool Operator preferred.Fitness Instructor preferred.
