Minimum Clearance Required- Active DOD Secret Clearance
Education/Certification Requirements:
- 4+ years of related experience
- Certification in telecommunications or a related field is preferred
Work Experience & Skill Requirements
- Proficient knowledge of telecommunications systems, equipment, and best practices
- Understanding of outside plant cabling, fiber optics, and copper cabling
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, such as fiber optics, copper cabling, and other related infrastructure components
- Conduct inspections, testing, and troubleshooting on outside and inside plant systems
- Perform repairs and replacements as needed to ensure optimal system performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate projects and ensure timely completion
- Assist in the development of project plans, including cost estimates and timelines
- Maintain accurate documentation of all installations, repairs, and modifications
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service and support, troubleshooting issues promptly and effectively
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
