Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary:

GaN is seeking a Devops Engineer. Responsibilities will consist of supporting projects to deliver developed code and capabilities into deployment environments.  Day-to-day duties will include the management and support of test and release environments.  The candidate will be all to perform analysis of technical requirements to development deployment and deployed capabilities and document the creation and usage of such.  Technical Documentation will be generated and that will be maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project will include system level, networking, and dataflow diagrams. The candidate will generate standard operating procedures and will provide technical input for the development of system operators manuals.

 

  • Assisting developers with day to day issues that arise in the test environment.
  • Develop and manage deployment environments such as Containers, Kubernetes and VMWare
  • Assist security analysts and automate security scanning from GitLab pipelines
  • Investigate factors such as amount of storage space consumed, access times, frequencies of reads and writes, and problems encountered by other application and systems programmers.
  • Suggest technically feasible approaches and makes recommendations to the user regarding the most effective and efficient automation approaches.

 

Requirements

 

  • 2+ Years IT or Devops experience
  • Familiar with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Containerization concepts and tools such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes.
  • A high level and understanding of IT infrastructure including servers, SANs and networking.
  • VMware vSphere Suite
  • Automation and scripting tools such as Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python.
  • Experience in automation of Windows and Linux Deployments.
  • Generating Technical Documentation (Network Diagrams, System Diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Security +

 

Desired Skills

 

  • Experience in container deployment infrastructure such as Kubernetes
  • Experience in automation of cloud deployments of Windows and Linux servers.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of Information Assurance policies, such as Risk Management Framework, NIST 800-53 and performing compliance scans with tools like Nessus
  • Familiarity with Cisco IOS
  • Experience configuring and administering Active Directory
  • Linux +, RCHE, or Linux Foundation Certification CE Certification
  • Networking CCNA, Network + CE certification

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
