Tempe, United States Achieve Full time
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCompany Description

Achieve is a leading digital personal finance company. We help everyday people move from struggling to thriving by providing innovative, personalized financial solutions. By leveraging proprietary data and analytics, our solutions are tailored for each step of our member's financial journey to include personal loans, home equity loans, debt consolidation, financial tools and education. Every day, we get to help our members move their finances forward with care, compassion, and empathetic touch. We put people first and treat them like humans, not account numbers.

Job Description

This is a high-impact direct response design position on the Performance Creative Team at Achieve, a leading financial services company. It offers a talented digital designer the opportunity to directly drive business growth and expand our team’s capabilities with innovative, highly engaging emails and other digital creative. It is a remote position, although there may be meetings required at our San Mateo, CA and/or Tempe AZ offices.

This role demands someone who is part designer, part scientist, and part psychologist. You’ll spend each day collaborating with business stakeholders to understand business goals, and with other members of the creative team to concept and produce emails and ads to test data-driven hypotheses. You will help drive business results as well as valuable insights about our audiences.

To succeed in this role, you need to be experienced designing for email and passionate about using your creative skills to connect with the end user and compel them to take action. You embrace a broad range of design aesthetics and love to innovate, yet your design choices are informed by data and you know how to design within brand guidelines.

What you'll do:

Creative Production:

  • Collaborate with writers to concept and design high-quality, engaging email and ad creatives that test hypotheses, drive business results, and provide insights about our audiences.

  • Utilize skills in video production, editing, and motion graphics to create compelling, eye-catching visual communications that resonate with our target audience for a range of channels including email, Meta, Tiktok, display, native and more.

Collaboration:

  • Lean into discussions with acquisition and Lifecycle marketing managers to understand business goals and challenges, identify creative testing opportunities, and drive creative testing that helps reach channel goals.

  • Actively participate in group discussions and brainstorming sessions; be fully engaged, provide value, and stay solutions-oriented.

  • Build strong relationships with fellow members of the Creative Team; share your ideas generously, support fellow team members as necessary, and celebrate their victories.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality assets within deadlines and keeping all stakeholders up to date on project status at each milestone.

  • Adhere to all production processes, and help determine ways to improve current processes and/or create new ones.

  • Embrace ownership in all your projects; be proactive in finding solutions to keep moving them forward

  • Ensure all projects are on brand and compliant to regulatory and legal requirements.

Advertising Strategy & Innovation:

  • Immerse yourself in each advertising channel to understand the targeting, user mindset, competitive landscape, and best practices. Harness these insights to craft powerful, channel-specific creative that resonates with users and drives results.

  • Lead the charge in digital design innovation by staying ahead of current trends, pinpointing test-worthy opportunities, and spearheading discussions to cultivate creative hypotheses for rigorous testing.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • 2+ years of experience designing direct response creative; emails, digital ads, landing pages, and other digital acquisition user experiences.

  • An online portfolio demonstrating email design as well as other direct response examples.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite & Google Suite.

  • Eager to learn on the job and proactively gain insights to inform design decisions.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, team-oriented environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: especially the ability to articulate your creative choices to a non-creative audience.

  • Familiarity with online marketing performance KPI and metrics and how to understand them.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on a performance creative team in a highly iterative testing culture

  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry

  • Experience designing direct response emails, troubleshooting rendering issues and working directly with developers to implement

  • Working knowledge of Figma, CSS & HTML

  • Experience creating ads for Meta, TikTok, and other social media platforms

  • Proficiency in video production, editing, motion graphics, in programs such as Adobe Premiere and After Effects

  • Friendly and team-oriented, you take the work seriously (but not yourself)
