Basic Function

The Vice President of Research and Development will be responsible for all research and development functions within the company. This position may involve other duties from time to time that are not listed below.

Responsibilities

Development Strategy:

Developing and implementing comprehensive engineering strategies to drive innovation and support Imricor’s growth objectives.

Research:

Managing internal research projects, developing prototypes and supporting research sites by delivering products needed for research studies.

Product Development:

Leading the design, development, and optimization of new medical devices from concept to market launch.

Innovation Leadership:

Fostering a culture of innovation, encouraging creative problem-solving and the exploration of new technologies and methodologies.

Collaboration and Integration:

Working closely with cross-functional teams, including regulatory, quality, clinical and operations, to ensure seamless integration of engineering efforts.

Compliance and Standards:

Ensuring that all engineering activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines, maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety.

Requirements:

Qualifications

· Bachelor of Science in Engineering; Advanced degree preferred

· Minimum 10+ years of experience in a medical device engineering environment

· Minimum 5+ years of relevant supervisory experience

· Demonstrated strong project management experience

· Demonstrated ability to manage and lead multi-departmental projects and integrations

· Strong people management and leadership skills

· Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
