The CompanyTRM Innovative Hearth Products is the buyout of several companies that have been merged throughout the years including but not limited to: Fireplace Manufacturers Inc., (FMI), and Lennox Industries Hearth Division. The aggregate company included rollups of Marco; Superior Fireplace, which began in the 1930s; stove and insert companies including Country Stoves, established in 1977. FMI, a subsidiary of Desa, rolled up Design Dynamics in vented and vent-free logs in early 2003. Subsequently, the management team from the FMI segment of Desa acquired the assets of their division in 2008.On January of 2023 TRM Equity groups completely purchased IHP and created TRM Innovative Hearth Products.

Job Description:The Production Supervisor is responsible for the effective utilization of staffing, equipment, and materials within the assigned area of responsibility and is accountable for producing a quality product, safely, at the least cost. This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of hourly employees. The production supervisor reports directly to the production manager and interfaces frequently with all department managers and supervisors responsible for personnel, quality, engineering, and material control. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Maintains a “Safety First” mindset.
- Ability to follow and manage the SQCDP model.
- Assigns work, instructions and trains employees as needed.
- Ability to create and maintain Standard Work for required team members.
- Approves time work records.
- Recommends promotion, discipline, or discharge of hourly employee.
- Notifies maintenance of equipment problems.
- Recommends method improvements.
- Prepares production reports as required by management.
- Willing to work in cross functional teams to understand and improve manufacturing processes.
- College degree from an accredited university in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar field of study. Work experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Familiar with Lean / Six Sigma Concepts.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Understands how to identify eliminate / reduce Waste or non-value-added steps in processes.
- Familiar with OSHA rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
Position requires fluency in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
