Position Overview:
The Mitigation Technician  performs essential tasks including water mitigation, fire/smoke cleaning, and mold remediation within residential and commercial properties. With 1+ years of experience, you’ll take on more responsibilities—working independently, leading small teams, and managing paperwork.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct containment systems and critical barriers
  • Monitor environmental controls (moisture, humidity, negative pressure)
  • Operate air scrubbers and negative air machines
  • Precision demolition and removal of contaminated materials
  • Perform mold remediation, biohazard cleanup, and fire odor restoration
  • Lead a crew of 1-2 personnel and ensure job completion
  • Use and maintain PPE, including respirators and gloves
  • Complete job paperwork and moisture mapping
  • Set up and monitor drying equipment
  • Respond to emergency situations as part of the on-call rotation

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in mitigation and restoration
  • IICRC certification or equivalent training (W.R.T certification a plus)
  • Ability to operate mitigation equipment and troubleshoot
  • Knowledge of Xactimate, MICA, Matterport, and iCat is a bonus
  • Maintains a clean driving record
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
