The Staff Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) who practices within the scope of the Illinois Nurse Practice Act to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, high quality, individualized nursing care, based upon knowledge and experience, the nursing process and leadership skills.


Community First Medical Center has the following availability for Nurses, 7pm - 7am, full or part time, and have an interest in Critical Care. Sign On Bonus Available


Weekender program options available for Full-time & Part-time positions offering high weekend premiums.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assesses each patient’s biophysical, psychosocial, environment, spiritual, cultural, self-care, educational and discharge planning based on age and development status.
  2. Utilizes the caring behaviors of empathy, active listening and cultural sensitivity and supports patient dignity.
  3. Develops and prioritizes an outcome directed plan of care to assigned patients and changes as necessary.
  4. Performs clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, standards of practice and within scope of the State Nurse Practice.
  5. Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing interventions. Modified the plan of care focusing on age and development status and patient outcomes.
  6. Reviews the plan of care and consults with the physician and other health care providers to adjust the plan to assure optimum patient outcomes within the scheduled timeframe.
  7. Documents care per documentation standards.
  8. Provides patient/family education.
  9. Serves as a mentor/preceptors for colleagues and other staff within or outside of areas of responsibility.
  10. All Level 1 nurses must meet and maintain annually all of the Level 1 Performance Standards and expectations as outlined in the Level 1 section of the RN Levels of Practice Program.
