Pay
$25-33/hr
Responsibilities
  • Supervise operators to perform machine setups, adjustments, and operations, while achieving production and quality standards
  • Be in charge of project runs
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures/policies
  • Wear all required PPE at all times
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures for the department
  • Read and verify job orders
  • Coordinate with the crew leader the requirements needed in the department for the production plan to include minimized downtime and efficient and safe operation of equipment
  • Have a working knowledge of how to use hand tools and gauges necessary to perform Operator duties
  • Responsible for machine set-up, general machine operation, and changeovers
  • Ensure that all equipment is operating properly
  • Ensure that all raw material is properly located at all times
  • Minimize scrap at all times and leave leftover material with the required inventory information
  • Maximize extruder output while maintaining running standards
  • Have a working knowledge of material blends and how they relate to the job order
  • Ensure that production maintains or exceeds all quality standards as evaluated
  • Complete daily production paperwork, verify lot numbers
  • 3 - 12 hour shifts, 1 – 6.5 hour shift
Qualifications
  • Plastic and creating bubbles with an extruder `experience a plus
  • Attention to detail imperative
  • A master of a can-do mindset
  • A heavy lifter who can lift up to 50 pounds
  • An active worker who likes being on your feet
  • Committed to being on time and ready to support your team
  • Are experienced at measuring to the 1/16th of an inch fast
  • Detailed vision capabilities that include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
