Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHarmonyTech Inc. is seeking a talented and experienced BI Developer to join our dynamic team. As a BI Developer at HarmonyTech, you will create reports and work with a team consisting of developers and solution architects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in OAS Oracle Data Visualization (DV), Microsoft Power BI.

The work shall be performed at the client’s location in Washington D.C. All candidates shall be U.S. citizens, have lawful permanent resident status, or possess a valid “green card” or equivalent.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet with clients to thoroughly understand their business requirements and objectives. 
  • Translate complex business needs into clear and concise technical specifications for BI solutions. 
  • Document detailed reporting and dashboard requirements based on client discussions and needs. 
  • Develop robust data quality checks and incorporate them into requirement documents, including criteria for User Acceptance testing. 
  • Create sophisticated analytics for reports and data visualizations tailored to meet specific client requirements and objectives. 
  • Design, develop, and implement visually appealing and intuitive data visualizations that effectively communicate key insights. 
  • Develop and execute database queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources. 
  • Generate comprehensive visualizations and reports for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and relevance to client needs. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of BI solutions with existing systems and processes. 
  • Provide support and guidance to clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring satisfaction and successful implementation of BI solutions. 
Requirements:
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant solution development experience.
  • At least five (5) years experience with Oracle Analytic Server (OAS) and Data Visualization is required 
  • At least five (5) years experience with Oracle Analytics Publisher (aka BI Publisher) is required 
  • At least five (5) years experience with Microsoft Power BI is required 
  • Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is preferred 
  • Oracle Database Engine is preferred 
  • Nice to have: knowledge of Salesforce/Hubspot 
  • Proven experience in business intelligence development, data analysis, and reporting 
  • Proficiency in translating business requirements into technical specifications
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to capture and articulate reporting and dashboard requirements effectively
  • Experience in developing data quality checks and defining User Acceptance testing criteria 
  • Advanced skills in developing sophisticated analytics, visualizations, and reports using BI tools
  • Expertise in database querying and data analysis techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a customer-focused approach
  • Familiarity with data visualization best practices and principles
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI is required
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Salesforce/Hubspot integration
  • Nice-to-have: experience with ETL tools such as ODI, Informatica  
Education:
  • Bachelors in computer science or related field of study, required
