Overview:
As a Registered Dietitian 2, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of clients through specialized nutritional assessment, planning, and counseling. Your expertise in nutrition and dietary management will contribute significantly to our organization's commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare services.
The community you will service has residents in Long-Term Care, Rehab, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. This RD will work with 2-3 other dietitians to support a caseload of 180-200 residents.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting thorough nutritional assessments and developing personalized dietary plans for clients.
  • Providing individual and group nutrition counseling to address specific health concerns and promote overall wellness.
  • Educating patients about healthy eating habits, specialized diets, and the impact of nutrition on various health conditions.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to assess and monitor patients' nutritional status and requirements.
  • Adhering to regulatory standards and best practices in healthcare to ensure compliance and quality patient care.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of nutrition-related programs and initiatives.
  • Assisting in menu planning and ensuring nutritional adequacy in institutional settings.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of dietary interventions and making necessary adjustments to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Documenting patient progress, dietary recommendations, and interventions accurately and comprehensively.
  • Staying updated with the latest research and trends in nutrition and dietetics to enhance service delivery.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and state licensure to practice dietetics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in nutrition assessment and counseling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing specialized dietary plans for diverse populations.
  • Strong understanding of nutritional guidelines, dietary recommendations, and food service principles.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in using nutrition assessment tools and electronic health record systems.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in patient care.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and nutrition-related policies.
