Overnight Chemical Production Supervisor

At Itaconix Corporation, the Second Shift Production Supervisor position is a hands-on lead as part of a 2-person production team upholding the highest standards in Safety, Quality, and Productivity. This role includes oversight of Preventive Maintenance, Shipping & Receiving. This position reports to the VP of Operations. This is a 12-hour shift, 3-4 days a week. Approximately 36-48 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise all daily production shift activities to meet scheduled customer demand and special requests. Responsible for shift turnover.
• Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Operating procedures and policies.
• Ensure product quality is within specification and make necessary adjustments.
• Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work environment.
• Utilize lean manufacturing tools to drive operational excellence.
• Train and supervise production operators.
• Collect, maintain, and report production and quality metrics.

Qualifications: 

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in chemical manufacturing production.
• Proven leadership with the ability to motivate, inspire, and build a high-performing team.
• Ability to manage a complex and fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative team player, always looking to share and advance best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word
• Familiar with a quality management system (eg, ISO 9001:2015)
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift 55 lbs unassisted.
