Driscoll Motor Co., Inc. is looking for an experienced and customer-oriented Service Advisor to act as the liaison between our customers and our service technicians.

The Service Advisor is responsible for greeting customers, listening to their vehicle service issues and needs, scheduling appointments, and keeping customers informed throughout the repair process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive service, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.


Responsibilities:


Greet customers promptly and warmly upon entering the service area.
Consult with mechanics regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs.
Use your knowledge of automotive repair and your communication skills to explain automotive repairs and issues to non-technical clients.
Schedule service appointments and arrange transportation for customers if needed.
Manage and update customer data and service histories in the dealership’s database.
Provide estimates for labor and parts to customers and clearly explain the work that will be performed.
Coordinate with parts department to order parts as needed for repairs.
Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day and update customers on the status of their vehicle.
Prepare and complete service documentation, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.Handle customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Process payments and explain service charges to customers.
Stay up-to-date with new products and services offered bythe dealership and manufacturer.


Qualifications:


Proven experience as a Service Advisor or similar role in the automotive industry.
Strong automotive knowledge and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
High school diploma required; degree or certification in Automotive Service Management or related field preferred.
Familiarity with automotive software and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.
Strong organizational and time management skills.


Education:


High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in automotive service management is highly desirable.
