THE OPPORTUNITY:

Color. It's what we do. We have our very own private dye plant, dyeing more than 100 different stock colors and 3.5 million garments a year.

We're looking for our next great "Mix Master," aka Garment Dye Machine Operator, to help us continue our mission to WOW Our Customers by providing on-trend garments. Under the direction of the Dye Plant Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing and monitoring the dye processes necessary to dye garments. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of garments according to specifications and quality standards.

Schedule Options: Friday - Monday 7a-4p, Friday - Sunday 6a-6p, Saturday - Monday 6a-6p

A Typical Day (job functions) | Lift & Repeat + Follow the Recipe + Create Color

· Operates industrial size dye machines and dryers, capable of handling over 400 garments at one time.

· Following the daily production schedule, retrieve garments from the warehouse to create batches.

· Following standard operating procedures, load machines and create dye solutions to exacting requirements.

· Conduct basic quality checks of each dye lot produced, addressing any off-specification product that might have occurred. Adjust process as necessary or partner with others to resolve.

· Transport dyed garments to drying process, transport from dyeing to post-processing

· Assist others when necessary

· Assist in warehouse staging and restocking garments

· Keep work area clean and orderly, organize area for efficiency

· Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards

· Forklift skills preferred, but not necessary

Skills (qualifications) | Calculating + Following Directions + Self-Motivation

  • High School education desirable, but not required

  • Basic math skills, detail oriented
  • Ability to work well independently and stay on task as well as work together on a small team of other operators
  • Must be reliable, responsible and take direction well
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
