Quality Inspector

1st Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspection will utilize manual inspections using hand devices such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, height gauges, fixtures, etc.

Performs first article, 1st piece, in-process, and final inspection of machined components and assemblies per the customers’ requirements.

Setup and operate CMM to perform inspections.

Complete inspection documentation, job process sheets, inspection method sheets, First Article Inspection Reports.

Experience with CMM operation and/or programming a plus (especially with Hexagon CMM using PC-DMIS)

After training, should be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision.

Proficient use of general and precision measurement equipment

Ability to read Blueprints.

Working Knowledge of Tight tolerance

Knowledge of Quality Management Standards such as ISO 9001 and AS 9100

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)

Sampling (AQL levels, sampling tables)

Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematics.

Ability to use Microsoft Excel to input and evaluate data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School or Equivalent required.

Technical/Trade School preferred.

5- 10 years’ Aerospace Quality Inspection experience in a machine shop environment
