Hunt Electric is currently hiring an DAS/Small Cell Foreman to fill a position with today's largest industry leader in wireless Installation. Presently, we are seeking a service orientated, Independent working individual with 2-5 years of experience running crews in the Related wireless field. This person will oversee installation of varying types of DAS and Small Cell equipment, to include but not limited to the installation of Indoor antennas, coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, CAT 5/6A cable, and other appropriate components to NEC standards for projects in and around the greater Salt Lake City area. We are based out of Utah and have more than 30 years of experience working in various departments of the cabling industry.


Major Duties:


  • Lead crew for general installs of DAS and Small Cell
  • Understands Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, Calendar, Word, & Scheduling Software
  • Work Schedule
  •         Work with other divisions to set schedule
  •         Show up 30-min early to get project organized
  •         Leave 30-min late to finalize paperwork
  • Able to complete paper work
  •         6-Week Look Ahead
  •         Daily Logs
  •         FOCUS Forms
  •         Change Order/Work Orders
  •         Purchase Orders
  •          Red Lines (On Bluebeam-Weekly)
  • Help plan and setup DAS/Small Cell equipment layout
  • Coordinate job with customer
  • Complete task in a timely manner
  • General installation and termination of all system cabling
  • General wiring of small cell power and grounding
  • Dress and terminate all associated types of cellular system cables
  • Assist with cable testing, PIM Testing, Coax Sweeping, and upload results to project cloud
  • Maintains a good attitude
  • Enforcement of job site harmony
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager


Required Skills:


  • Ability to Run Crews
  • Ability to read & understand prints and specifications
  • Understand different types of DAS equipment and connectivity
  • Knowledge of carrier standards
  • Ability to install carrier specific equipment 7705, DUW, Air Scale
  • Have good customer service skills
  • Have and understand Hunt Electrics safety culture
  • Know the color code both fiber & copper
  • Understand all fire stopping procedure and techniques
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Terminate all types of fiber optic cable
  • Dress and terminate patch panels, Cat5e/6A
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Understands varying types of DAS hardware and cabling standards
  • 5 years’ minimum experience in field with two years as foreman


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Specific knowledge of various DAS equipment platforms (SOLiD, Commscope, Corning/ Mobile Access, etc.) commissioning and optimization
  • MUST HAVE a minimum of 2 years of In-building DAS or Small Cell installation experience with aforementioned vendors; 5 is preferred; Experience in both public safety and cellular is preferred
  • Experience in field supervision of small installation teams; Experience leading crews, coaching less experienced technicians and managing projects
  • Knowledge of DAS Equipment including Head-End, Fiber DAS, Bi-Directional Repeaters, Coaxial Cable, CAT 5/6 Cable, Antennas, Splitters, Fiber Cable, etc.
  • Solid working knowledge of RF test equipment (line sweeping and PIM Testing etc.)
  • Solid skills with Microsoft Office Software (particularly Excel) and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a professional manner at all job sites and deal with challenging customers if necessary
  • Ability to think analytically and to solve complex problems
  • Ability to drive performance and execute against plan
  • Strong customer service, communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic hand and power tools needed for installation projects
  • Must be willing to travel


  


Preferred Experience/Qualifications


  • Ability to work independently and be a self-Starter
  • Experience with Termination and splicing of fiber optics
  • Able to operate copper & fiber tester
  • Hold manufacture certifications (SOLiD, Commscope, Corning/Mobile Access, etc.)
  • Hold certifications for PIM, RL, and fiber
  • Experience Following blueprints and schematic
  • Assist with development of project schedules and materials.
  • Mentoring and leading less experienced technicians.
  • Completing job related documentation and record keeping.
  • Assisting in warehouse maintenance and inventory.
