Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Facilities Manager is a strategic role with some hands-on aspects, overseeing the general maintenance, troubleshooting, preventative upkeep, and vendor management for Highway Horticulture’s retail, cultivation, and processing facilities.  Properly functioning equipment and structures in the facility are key to maintaining a safe work environment. This position will ensure a safe facility, equipment and safe processes throughout the entire building. The position will ensure the basic maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting for the facility are completed. The ideal candidate will be someone who can work effectively with little direction, with strong problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working with tools and operating equipment safely. HVAC and electrical experience are key aspects of facilities management.

Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Review work areas regularly to check for consistency with SOPs, partner procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Forecast costs for equipment maintenance, supplies, training, etc. for the facility
  • Create proactive facility and equipment plans and present annually to leadership
  • Work closely with Director of Processing Operations to implement and maintain safety programs
  • Ensure preventative maintenance and general troubleshooting on equipment and building are completed
  • Maintain compliance with all OSHA/MIOSHA standards
  • Manage incident reports and safety metrics for monthly reports
  • Maintain accurate equipment inventory and service records
  • Coordinate more complex repairs and warranty resolutions with vendors and contractors
  • Coordinate for snow removal, lawn care and other facility maintenance contracts
  • Maintain and repair building fixtures including lights, windows, doors, screens, walls and floors
  • Purchase necessary supplies, equipment and materials in order to complete projects
  • Perform ad hoc jobs and projects as needed

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Relevant OSHA and MIOSHA certifications and training
  • On-call availability
  • Basic HVAC knowledge/experience
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds with regularity
