Role:

Our Mortgage Loan Manager oversees all aspects of mortgage lending originations, ensuring efficient processing and decision-making for mortgage loan applications. This role leads a team responsible for reviewing mortgage applications, assessing risk, and making informed lending decisions while maintaining compliance with legal requirements, lending regulations, and internal policies.

What you will be doing:

  • Leads and manages a team of Mortgage Loan Officers to review mortgage applications, assess risk, and make lending decisions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensures compliance with legal requirements, lending regulations, and internal policies, achieving designated quality assurance (QA) ratings and completing required compliance courses annually.
  • Maintains a high level of customer service by collaborating with internal partners, external stakeholders, and borrowers throughout the mortgage lending process.
  • Monitors and manages the mortgage loan pipeline to ensure timely processing and closing of loans.
  • Accountable for reporting, accounting, and other administrative functions within the Mortgage Lending department.
  • Provides guidance and support to Mortgage Loan Officers on complex loan scenarios and underwriting guidelines.
  • Responsible for documenting origination process and procedures for the mortgage loan products as well as performing loan audits on a periodic basis.
  • Stays informed of current trends and regulations in mortgage lending and implements best practices to optimize lending operations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources to generate mortgage loan business.
  • Meet and exceed sales management goals, pipeline goals, and new business generation goals to increase market share.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract potential borrowers and promote mortgage loan products.
  • Performs additional job-related duties as assigned.

What you'll bring along:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in mortgage lending, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience with mortgage loan origination software (LOS) and other relevant technology platforms.
  • Knowledge of underwriting guidelines, loan programs, and regulatory requirements.
  • NMLS license preferred.
