Field Superintendent

East Coast Construction Services is seeking candidates for the position of Field Superintendent. This position is based from our office in High Point, NC but travel of varying distances and durations will be required.

ECCS is experienced in the exacting requirements of electrical construction in the following industries: tech sector facilities, pharmaceutical manufacturing, water/wastewater, wood products and biofuels processing, non-woven textiles, and food-grade manufacturing. ECCS is at home on any Greenfield construction site, brownfield construction site, or in an existing industry facility or complex.

The Field Superintendent will be responsible for the direct supervision and safety of ECCS construction forces on electrical construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and lead daily project activities
• Conduct weekly safety meetings.
• Direct and supervisor construction forces from one crew to multiple crews with supervision.
• Record and submit time worked for all projects weekly.
• Maintain material and equipment inventory necessary for efficient implementation of project work with emphasis on good housekeeping and security of materials and equipment storage areas.
• Coordinate with other trades to implement project work, including subcontractors if necessary.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules such as to develop an efficient work plan and possible value engineering concepts.
• Complete project records, including as-built construction information, daily project progress reports and testing/verification documentation.
• Maintain contract documentation related to change orders, submittals, subcontractors, RFIs and correspondence.

Skills:

• Ability to read and comprehend electrical drawings, schematics, specifications and related drawings.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and safe practices for the construction industry, especially in the electrical field.
• Have 5-10 years relevant experience in a direct supervisory role.
• Current NC Electrical License (Desired)
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent education and experience.
• Valid NC driver's license (required)
• Bilingual-Spanish (preferred).
• Proficient with computers and technology (MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, Bluebeam)
• Currently trained in OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, NFPA 70E
• Ability to pull and lift materials and equipment over 25 to 40 pounds
• Ability to travel and stay regionally (NC, SC, VA) on a regular basis
