This opportunity will take place at ECMC's campus and is a full-time position Tuesday-Friday, four 10-hour shifts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer and interpret standardized psychological, personality, and related assessments.
  • Prepare case reports and generate comprehensive written reports for referral sources.
  • Provide counseling services to ECMC inpatients, outpatients, and their families.
  • Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Medicine team and interdisciplinary members in managing patients requiring psychological services.
  • Supervise and mentor graduate-level trainees in psychological practice.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and marketing of ECMC programs.
  • Conduct regular in-service training for Rehabilitation Medicine and hospital staff.
  • Actively participates in self-evaluation by seeking and utilizing guidance and constructive feedback in a professional manner
  • Continuously seeks opportunities for clinical advancement and knowledge and skill attainment
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Delivers exemplary customer service in order to provide a positive patient experience across the organization

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree in Psychology from a regionally accredited program
  • Years experience in psychological services in an outpatient setting, preferred
  • Current license to practice as a Psychologist by the University of the State of New York

  • Proficient in psychological terminology, analysis and evaluating test results, and measurements
  • Good understanding of personality development and the factors contributing to mental, emotional, and social maladjustments
  • Ability to work effectively with professional associates, exercise tact with patients and their families, demonstrate good judgment, and maintain emotional maturity.
