Children’s Home Society in Sioux Falls, SD is currently seeking a Relief Housekeeper to assist in the cleaning and maintenance of designated areas of the facility.


What You'll Do:

  • Clean assigned areas according to daily and weekly schedules. Launder linens as assigned.
  • Maintain storage areas and cleaning supplies inventory.
  • Report needed repairs or safety hazards immediately to supervisor.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend assigned meetings.
  • Professional Development: Participate in required in-service training. Participate in quality improvement activities as assigned.

  • Must be able to fulfill the responsibilities of the position with minimal supervision. Makes prudent decisions.

Schedule:

Employees hired will work on an "as needed" basis for day and night shifts with an option of pre-scheduling for some shifts.


Compensation: $20.00/hr + up to a $2/hr shift differential

Benefits:

  • Retirement: Qualifying employees receive a guaranteed employer contribution with 100% vesting
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school degree required.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires standing for extended periods of time. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals, requiring attentive and safe utilization.


Must successfully complete all required background/pre-employment checks. EEO/AA.
