About Housing Connector

Housing Connector is a tech-for-good nonprofit dedicated to improving housing access for those most in need. We achieve this by addressing financial and resident-related issues for property owners, enabling them to welcome more community members. Additionally, we simplify the housing search process for case managers through our Zillow-powered marketplace. By working collaboratively, we ensure positive outcomes for both properties and residents.

At Housing Connector, we believe no unit should sit vacant while there are people in need of a home. Recognized as a World Changing Idea by FastCompany, our innovative approach has not only generated millions in revenue for our property partners but has also connected thousands of individuals with homes.

Position Overview

As a Housing Partnership Navigator on our property partner team, you will play a crucial role in attracting, engaging, and delighting property partners in the city.

The ideal candidate has a background in finding housing for people experiencing instability. • Provide support in submitting lease applications to properties and communicate application decisions to community partners daily.
  • Obtain property-specific information (address, W9s, etc.) to ensure timely payments and maintain detailed and organized documentation for properties.
  • Participate in daily virtual meetings with partner organizations to coordinate applications, approvals, inspections, and move-in dates.
  • Conduct in-person habitability inspections on units pre-move-in.
  • Generate new leads for available units monthly.
  • Assist with multiple individual move-ins every month.
  • Triage property and client issues by liaising with case managers and creating tickets.

Internal communications:

  • Collaborate weekly with the Director and Property Partnership Manager to identify available units.
  • Understand the workings of our Zillow partnership and marketplace.
  • Communicate with the Payment Program Manager and accounting team to ensure timely payments to properties.
  • Collaborate weekly with the local Denver team.
  • Engage with other markets across the country to share and learn best practices.
Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, lead development, or client relations roles.
  • Previous experience finding housing for individuals experiencing housing instability.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to identify and solve problems.
